Bernita Lewis

Ms. Bernita K. Lewis is a native of Alma-Bacon County. She attended the public schools of Bacon County. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Albany State University, Albany, GA and a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota . 

Ms. Lewis is a retired veteran of public education where she dedicated 30 years of service. She has worked in the capacity of classroom teacher, alternative education director and in-school suspension coordinator during her career.

Bernita has two children and two grandchildren. She is a member of First African Baptist Church where she is involved as a youth leader, children bible study teacher and after school tutoring. She is also an encourager with the Bacon County Ministerial SAFE program.
